WHAT ARE THE PRIMARY CONCERNS OF DOGWISH?

The primary concerns of The DOGWISH Foundation are to change the qualify of life for hundreds of disabled Americans, infusing our DOGWISH recipients with the strength, courage, motivation, and desire to raise their level of independence, personal successfulness, and ability to overcome their personal circumstances.

It may be shocking to realize that almost one in five people in our world are disabled. This number is growing by 15 to 17% a year. Many of these people will not fit into the restricted regiments of other organization programs, and without DOGWISH do not have a hope of obtaining a K9 that will help them. However, they all need one thing to get that help, MONEY! With our limited resources we realized that we needed to create a way for them to reach out and get financial and emotional support from the community around them.

Therefore DOGWISH was established to help us succeed in four ways:
  1. Provide the knowledge and technical understanding necessary train K9s
  2. Develop a team of qualified trainers capable of using that knowledge to train K9s
  3. Link us with and educate the disabled community throughout America
  4. Provide a financial ability for each disabled person to afford a K9
