New Year's Letter from Bob Taylor, President of DOGWISH Dear past, present, and future friends and associates: If you haven't seen it yet, please go to www.dogwishfoundation.org and see our new website, done by Doctor David Kwon. If you are on the site, this site is the creation of a very special DOGWISH recipient, and wonderful person, Doctor Kwon. Dr. Kwon's selfless devotion to making this website a reality is a big testimony to his credit. Dr. Kwon is South Korea's ONLY quadriplegic to ever go through the schooling and get a PHD. He is quite inspirational, and we love him. Seeing what DOGWISH is doing for him, he decided on his own to return the favor. Instead of sitting in his home, with his family, and the dog we trained for him through our DOGWISH program, he decided to come on board and join with us. He spent hundreds of hours at home and work, and created a masterpiece. Thank YOU Dr. Kwon, we love you! This has been quite a year for DOGWISH, and we have achieved many remarkable feats and goals! We did this in the face of great adversity, as those who couldn't handle the challenge went their own ways, and some tried to either take large parts of the business with them, or burn it behind them with lies and slander. Some families have taken the large contributions we have made to their children's lives and abandon their committed responsibilities to DOGWISH. Some have even committed conspiracy against us. This even includes some DOGWISH recipients. God has used these demented people to teach me wisdom; how to defend and become strong. I want you to know that these occurrences are part of learning experiences that I accept responsibility for, and welcome. They will not in any way have a negative affect on DOGWISH or stop our giving, because that is based on what is in our hearts, and our hearts are strong, and good, and committed. Most importantly, we have placed close to 50 K9s this year, made the difference in the lives of many people throughout America and Canada. That means that, no matter what, we were successful! We have and are continuing to help families throughout America with the best trained K9s they will ever find. We eagerly encourage everyone with a disability who needs a K9, everyone with a disabled family member who needs a K9, and everyone with a friend that is disabled and needs a K9 to do the best possible thing you can, and contact us immediately for a DOGWISH K9. We are taking K9s to the Caribbean Islands in January, and shortly afterwards flying K9s to homes in different parts of America in February. Our primary purpose in DOGWISH is to help disabled people every way we can. We have gone to every extent to develop a program that will comprehensively meet the needs of the disabled community above and beyond any other organization. Our dogs do everything but handle the leash and give you commands. I would like to thank all of you that sent us Christmas cards. It means and says a lot to know that you are remembered, especially when you have gone out of your way to help someone only for the purpose of helping them. This year DOGWISH took on over $220,000.00 in debt, purchasing, training and placing K9s for families with disabled members that didn't have the money to pay for their K9s, and agreed to do fund raising to make up the difference. Almost all of these families have their K9s, some need more training, but many owe a considerable amount of money to cover their balance. We need to raise over $140,000.00 to make up the difference here, and everyone is sincerely encouraged to participate, because we need the money to continue to exist, and keep the DOGWISH fundraising open to others. Please, if you haven't done, or are in the process of doing your fund raising, push forwards. The more we produce, the more we can help. DOGWISH is more than a K9 placing corporation. The goal in DOGWISH is to motivate, stimulate, and support each recipient to cope with overcome their disabilities through our K9s. We want you to know that we live to help you. We WANT you to succeed. We'll do everything we can to make your success as much of a reality as we can. Give us a chance. Our Universe is set up so that at any second you can start new. All you have to do is make the decision and keep moving. No matter what your life has been, you can decide to make it wonderful today. May God bless you as we start a New Year.
